fun facts about paris france

Paris, also known as La Ville Lumière (the City of Lights) is famous for fine cuisine, fabulous fashion and breathtaking architecture. It’s hard not to fall in love with this city, but can you picture France’s capital with a different name or even without the Eiffel Tower? Believe it or not, Paris was once called “Lutetia” and the Eiffel Tower was only supposed to be a temporary installation.

Thinking about venturing to Paris with your students (on an EF tour, bien sûr)? First, learn more about the City of Light with these fun facts about Paris.

And if you’re ready to start planning an educational adventure, take a look at our school trips to France.
