How it works

  • The deadline for registering and beginning coursework is 30 days before your tour departs.

  • Learners will gain access to their course 90 days before the departure of their tour.
There are required pre-travel assignments in addition to ones that learners complete during and after tour.

  • Official transcripts are available upon successful course completion.

  • Courses are taught online by EF’s certified instructors.

  • Assignments allow learners to explore their own interests and passions in exciting ways.

The EF Method fuels deeper learning before, during, and after your tour

Every EF tour is designed with our proven educational method, honed over 60 years. The EF Method enhances classroom learning through immersive, hands-on experiences that build essential skills for students’ futures. And its impact extends far beyond the days spent traveling. Our academic courses are also intentionally aligned with the EF Method, providing structured pre-, on-, and post-tour coursework to ensure learning continues after you return home.

PARTNERSHIPS

Earn a credential for your tour experience, no course required

EF | Nobel Prize Museum Global Citizen Certificate

Middle and high school students can also earn a certificate from EF and the Nobel Prize Museum to use on their resumes, LinkedIn, and more. When students successfully complete a multimedia project that addresses a tour-related prompt, they are awarded the certificate and their projects are displayed in a digital gallery.

The certificate can be earned in two ways:

  1.  Complete the project as part of the high school or undergraduate courses, receiving both the EF | Nobel Prize Museum Global Citizen Certificate and academic credit.

  2. Complete the project without taking part in the high school or college credit courses.

Students have until two months past their return date to submit their project.

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is EF’s school of record for the undergraduate and graduate-level courses. These courses offer more affordability for students and families, as they’re priced at less than half the average cost of in-state tuition at most public U.S. four-year institutions. Both EF and SNHU are accredited institutions.
